with a basket in my hand, half asleep

the vivid colours and scents

the birds and the bugs

the rising sun

the silence

also

the late evenings

cleaning jars, peeling, cutting

cooking fruits into jams and spreads

knitting during a long and slow card game

my always cold bed,and a neverending bus ride

My mum got me into this

I was very skeptical at first

How can you spend hours in dark woods

looking for stinky mycellium?

But it is so surreal

At first you can't see anything

Especially if you haven't been there for a long time

You don't even know what you are looking for anymore

And suddenly you can hear them whispering

survived a Belphégor marathon
and walked back home
in the wee hours
through the woods,
ready to defend myself
with my x acto knife
but met nobody

got together with my best friend
on one of her most important day ever

looked for a ghost in a museum
but did not find it

picked up cherries,
made cherry jam and clafoutis

played sicilian card games
with my mother
for hours

sewed my first bedroom curtains
I am smitten
and could look at them
forever

cried buckets
watching tv series
and a beautiful film
I am such a sissy

got lost in the woods
chased by butterflies
fell hard in an abandoned meadow

Happy Star Wars day !

A little glimpse of my "Dad Vather" shrine
Life became easier the day I realised
that my father was on the dark side of the Force,
as a final explanation to his psychotic behaviour
Therefore my visual representation of a patriarch,
needs a black cape, a red lightsaber and asthmatic loudspeaker
May the Force be with me too!

For days now, I had this song on my lips
this is my favourite time of the year
all these lovely trees around me.
I used to have a mental map
of all the blossoming cherry trees of Paris.
But nowadays, a different landscape
brings new discoveries
New sylvan friendships

Cable girl!

Herewith my first cable knitting:
a scarf for my mother's birthday
knitted with the remaining yarn from my gorgeous cape

I don't know why I waited so long to knit cable
It was so easy, almost disappointingly
Well, next challenge will be to knit lace
I guess it won't be this simple

At last, spring is on its way up here, on our remote volcano.
Nearly 2 months late, since I last saw a glimpse of blossom on the Riviera.
But it is here, so I shall rejoice.
